About PSNBA
PSNBA (Puget Sound Naval Bases Association) is made up entirely of volunteers who are dedicated to the cause of the organization – to keep the Navy presence and workload strong here in Kitsap County. Our operating budget is comprised of money received through our annual membership drive at the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, Naval Base Kitsap-Bangor, Bremerton Naval Hospital and Keyport as well as many corporations and community members.
Because of members, PSNBA can speak to Congress and Senior Navy leadership about issues concerning the general economic welfare of members and our area.
Your membership made it possible for us to achieve a great deal this year.
- Continue advocating for Explosive Handling Wharf 2. The development of EHW2 will help continue the workload planned for that area over the next decade or two. It employs a multitude of people and fortifies our local community.
- Support the PSNS Apprentice Program. This federal program is the largest in WA State and one of the largest in the nation. This program provides a means for area residents to learn valuable skills that lead to living wage.
- Promote the Olympic College/WSU Mechanical Engineering Program. PSNBA supported community interest in having easier access to 4-year degrees, especially with our local commands having a high demand for trained engineers. This partnership is a huge milestone for Olympic College and our community.
We’re proud of what we’ve been able to do and could not have done it without you as a member!
Since 1946, PSNBA has worked tirelessly to strengthen the United States Navy’s presence in the Puget Sound. A strong Navy presence in our community positively impacts the jobs and people in our businesses. Our objectives remain focused on our membership, our community, local Navy leadership, and our legislators.
